No matter how well-thought out, no church budget can anticipate unexpected emergencies. The Pastor’s Relief Fund gives the pastor the resources to quickly provide help to folk in need or in emergency situations. Over the past year, the Pastor’s Relief Fund has helped out parishioners and community members with grocery and gasoline gift cards, and aided people who needed help with medical emergencies, utilities, rent and mortgage. In a typical year, about $3000 is disbursed. The funds are provided by the annual Craft Fair and special offerings.
